Job Description:
As a CDL Class A Heavy Haul Driver, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient transportation of drilling rigs and heavy equipment to and from various oil and gas sites. Your expertise in handling oversized loads and navigating challenging terrains will be essential in ensuring our operations run smoothly and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Equipment: Safely load, transport, and unload drilling rigs, heavy machinery, and related equipment to designated locations within the oil and gas fields.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself, the crew, and the public.Route Planning: Plan and follow efficient routes, considering load dimensions, weight restrictions, and road conditions to ensure timely deliveries.Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment, reporting any issues to the maintenance team. Perform basic maintenance tasks as needed.Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain all required logs, reports, and paperwork, including bill of lading, trip sheets, and inspection reports.Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatchers, site managers, and other team members to coordinate logistics and address any issues that arise.Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any challenges encountered during transport, such as roadblocks, mechanical issues, or unforeseen obstacles.Qualifications:
CDL Class A License: Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy haul trucking, preferably within the oil and gas industry.Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT regulations, load securement, and specialized hauling equipment.Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, securing loads, and working in various weather conditions.Benefits:
