Vice President, Release Train Engineer

to join our

Pershing Engineering Team.

This role is located in

Jersey City, NJ-Hybrid

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:•

Facilitate the development events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value.•

Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.•

Facilitate process and execution and drive a culture of continuous improvement and integration by fostering community of practice.•

Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in SAFe.•

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:•

Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.•

Strong knowledge of Lean-Agile principles, practices, frameworks, and methods required.•

Knowledge on Lean Portfolio management functions, financial management and Agile transformation.•

Ability to drive decisions and resolve conflicts across multiple parties.•

Strong problem-solving skills required.•

Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in SAFe.•

Passion for changing status quo and driving out-of-the-box ideas. Eagerness to ‘roll up the sleeves’ in execution and learning; pushes the team to do the same. Desire to create positive team experiences and collaborative environment

Expertise:•

Certified SaFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Program•

Consultant (SPC), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (ACSM) or•

Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)•

Experience with agile management and delivery, including•

coordinating teams and leveraging agile toolsMindset & Behaviors :•

Passion for changing status quo and driving out-of-the-box ideas•

Eagerness to ‘roll up the sleeves’ in execution and learning; pushes•

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART) or product. The RTE's major responsibilities are to facilitate the development events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value. RTEs communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement. The Principal RTE facilitates process and execution and drive a culture of continuous improvement and integration by fostering community of practice. They lead and/or participate in lean-agile transformations, coach leadership, and other teams in agile mindsets and new processes. They work with the Agile Program Management Office on program execution and operational excellence and understand and operate within Lean Budgets to ensure adherence to Guardrails. Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in SAFe. Manage and optimize the flow through the program and facilitate PI Planning and readiness. Aggregate Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives. Work with the Agile Program Management Office on program execution and operational excellence. Understand and operate within Lean Budgets and ensure adherence to Guardrails. Escalate and track impediments. Ensure strategy and execution alignment. Help manage risks and dependencies and report status. Strong knowledge of Lean-Agile principles, practices, frameworks, and methods. Understands company organizational model, company structure, and Agile journey history. Effective facilitation and teaching methods. Coaching and mentoring approaches, including the distinction between the two. Ability to drive decisions and resolve conflicts across multiple parties. BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $221,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.Employer Description:
