Job Title: Logistics Clerk
Job Description
We are currently looking for two candidates to work in the logistics department as Logistic Clerks, reporting directly to the Logistics Manager. This position will be split 75/25 where 25% of the time is spent at a desk processing, while the other 75% involves physically processing inventory (e.g., scanning, moving).
Job duties for this position include: - Contributing to the company’s sales and profit through inventory control activities. - Performing all inventory control related activities. - Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements through the company’s quality management system. - Adhering to all established Logistics Department methods and procedures. - Primary job responsibilities include receiving, storage, shipping, and storage sanitation. - Promoting a cooperative and constructive atmosphere. - Performing other related duties as assigned by the Inventory Control Team Lead or Department Manager. - Providing guidance and direction to lower-level or new employees within the department.
Food Safety Reporting Responsibilities: - Responsibility to report any and all food safety problems or concerns to the proper personnel authorized to initiate action.
Shift Time: 7:30am - 3:30pm M-F
Pay Rate: $20-$23

This is a fully on-site position in Elgin, Illinois.
Work Environment
Candidates will be working in an office setting that is clean, climate-controlled, and organized. They will work alongside the rest of the inventory control team and will have their own desk to process orders. Additionally, they will spend some time in the logistics department processing orders by hand. The facility meets stringent, high-quality standards with room temperature and cold storage warehouses, a manufacturing and clean room facility that meets ISO Class 8 standards, controlled and monitored temperature, humidity, and pressure, particulate and dust controls, GMP compliance, and is secure, restricted, and monitored 24/7. The facility is also approved for manufacturing and storage of Kosher and Halal products and includes backup generators for critical areas and emergencies.
