Summary: DACC, a responsive, accessible, comprehensive, learning-centered community college that provides education opportunities to a diverse community of learners is inviting candidates to apply for the following vacant position:

Classification Summary: Provides general assistance to the Director in terms of oversight, vision and guidance for the Community Education and Customized Training Program divisions. Provides daily management and oversight of certificate programs and contracted training activities.

Classification Standard Duties: Serve as the Assistant Director of the Community Education and Customized Training Programs; Supervises, directs and delegates to staff in the absence of the Director; provides direct oversight and management for all certificate programs, including Pharmacy Technician, Veterinary Assistance, and Commercial Driver's License; establishes and maintains community partnerships; promotes and publicizes both divisions within the community, including recruitment of contracted training opportunities; preparation of marketing materials, catalogs, flyers, brochures, and grants. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.; Required Experience: Three (3) years of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined.; Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education and experience; Required Certification/License:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals. Knowledge of web-based marketing and registration systems; principles of business administration, fiscal oversight, and supervision of personnel.; SKILLS:Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to listen to new ideas and to respond in a timely manner to students and staff. Demonstrated skill in working effectively with personnel conflicts and concerns. Experience in public relations, marketing/marketing research, public speaking, adult post-secondary education and grant writing.; ABILITIES:Demonstrated ability to administer in a fair, thorough and thoughtful way. Ability to solve problems and deliver difficult messages in a sensible way. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to establish and maintain a high degree of personal and program integrity and openness with students and staff.

Job Duties and Responsibilities The CDL Program Manager oversees: DACC Truck Driving Academy operations, including student recruitment, enrollment, hiring, supervising instructors, managing the fleet, curriculum, scheduling, and completions. Related Certification Programs (Logistics Technician, Forklift, HazMat, Supply Chain Automation) The CDL Skills Exams Proctoring Services.

MSSC Certified Logistics Technician

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.

Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
