Overview A Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the activities of field personnel, ensuring efficient operations and timely completion of tasks. Dispatchers play a critical role in maintaining communication, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to ensure smooth operations. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Lombard IL.
Responsibilities
Assign tasks to field personnel based on their availability, skills, and location.Maintain constant communication with field personnel through radio, phone, or other communication channels.Monitor the progress of field personnel to ensure tasks are completed on time and according to standards.Identify and resolve issues that may arise during operations.Maintain accurate records of assignments, tasks, and progress.Create and manage schedules for field personnel.Coordinate emergency response efforts as needed.Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints.Qualifications
Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Knowledge of geographic areas and routes.Proficiency with computer systems and software, including dispatching software.Experience in a dispatching role.Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.Certification in dispatching or related field.
