THE POSITION This position, in the Bureau of Community Health Systems, supports the organization's mission of providing infrastructure for the implementation of core public health functions in a high quality, effective and responsive manner that will positively impact the health status of Pennsylvanians by fielding all customer calls and providing clerical support to the District Office and the State Health Centers.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will answer, log, and refer calls using BCHS and DOH policies and procedures and knowledge of agency, local government, community, and commonwealth programs to provide information and referral on DOH programs to the general public.
You will also provide clerical support to professional staff, maintain and distribute State Health Center communications, submit case reports, and maintain information in the Statewide Immunization Information System database using DOH guidelines.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); orGraduation from high school; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.
