Boutique firm with a focus on personal injury, civil litigation and landlord/tenant is looking for an Associate Attorney. You will represent clients in legal proceedings (in person and virtually), draft pleadings, motions, and perform legal research. Legal fee share in addition to salary available with great opportunity for growth.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in civil, small claims, housing and/or Supreme Court in New York City
Prepare and draft legal pleadings, discovery responses/demands and motions
Research and motion drafting.
Advise clients and partake in initial intakes
Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers
Perform additional functions related to the practice of law
Qualifications:
License to practice in New York
Previous experience in personal injury, landlord/tenant and/or civil litigation preferred but willing to train the right candidate
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Mandarin, Fuzhounese, and/or Cantonese proficient preferred
