Project Engineer
to join their team based in Columbus, Ohio. Emerald is a leading consulting firm that provides services at the intersection of business and sustainability. Our Project Engineer Commissioning will primarily coordinate and manage commissioning related tasks, as well as engineering and technical development projects.

Pay:
$80,000 – $130,000/year, offer dependent of experience
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Hybrid schedule
2-3 days/week in the field
Overnight stays may be necessary
The right candidate will have:
3-5 years’ minimum experience in a similar position
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
BSME/BSEE (EIT preferred, must meet minimum requirements to get EIT)
Commissioning Agent accreditation preferred – ASHRAE, AEE, AABC
Experience in construction industry
Experience with whole building energy modeling and proficiency with energy modeling software (preferably Trane Trace/3D Plus) and working knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1
Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred (Revit is a plus)
LEED AP credentials preferred
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and interpret common industry publications
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Our Project Engineer will:
Oversee various aspects of commissioning workflow, scheduling design phase Cx activities, and scheduling/coordinating of site commissioning activities
Collaborate with project staff to facilitate commissioning related task completion
Facilitate and contribute to the development of Commissioning project deliverables, specifications, drawing review, develop testing plans, completing progress and final cx reports
Document Cx related criteria & credits for LEED and other sustainable certification
Prepare commissioning related documentation as required relating to sustainable certification ratings systems
Conduct site analysis for Commissioning observation and functional performance testing
Contribute to Emerald’s internal knowledge management system by updating templates, QAQC forms, learning modules and related tools and resources
PECx is also expected to be capable of performing/delivering Project Engineer duties/responsibilities as assigned
