Windows Server Engineer

to be a key team member that has experience and skill in supporting Windows platforms, conducting system software research, engineering implementation and maintenance in support of business initiatives. This resource will perform as the systems matter expert, providing Windows and Macintosh system skills with a strong emphasis on virtualization and migration. Responsibilities include the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of common applications environments on behalf of our customers. The Engineer will function in both implementation and support stages and will provide services in a variety of areas including, but not limited to: system architecture & design, system administration, security, and networking.This is a

hybrid

position located at our corporate headquarters in

Freeport, Maine , working some days from home and some days onsite.ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering support and technical expertise regarding integrating new and existing Windows technology into enterprise IT systems design and architectureInterface with internal customer and third-party teams for configuration, integration and deployment activitiesManage Windows operating systems, virtualization technologies, and application migrationsDevelop and implement best practices and engineering standards for Windows and Macintosh Server configuration and optimizationProvide administration support for Windows ServersProvide Windows Server platform problem resolution including providing support for Windows related issuesHealth and Safety Requirement:

Enjoys working with internal and external clients.Experience with Active Directory, Ansible, SCOM, SCCM and JAMFPowerShell and VB Scripting knowledge and experienceHardware: Blade and rack-mounted ServersExperience with Nutanix Server Hardware a plusExperience installing, configuring, supporting, and maintaining Windows Server Operating Systems and 64-bit versions of Windows Server Operating System; VMware vSphere hypervisorExperience analyzing server hardware and application components and implementing server migration and consolidation activitiesDesigning and leveraging automated server and application installationDeploying and supporting Active Directory and Group PolicyUsing WINS, DNS, DHCP, and IISExperience with large-scale enterprise projects is highly recommendedUnderstanding of Shared Storage, Replication, load balancing, and WAN TechnologiesWorking knowledge of IT Security and Firewall technologiesStrong problem determination skills.If you care about the outdoors, joining L.L.Bean is a great way to feel good about what you do.
