Long TermNeed GC and USCJob Description:• Architect, design, and engineer this client’s GLOBAL network infrastructure.• In-depth experience in network technology architecture design, evaluation, and deployments.• This is not a support position. This is a blend of architecture, design, and engineering with minimal support.• A majority of this work involves handling new projects, implementations, refreshes, network automation, Software Defined Networking, etc.DUTIES:• Provide design solutions for this client’s network, focusing on WAN optimization.• Make adjustments to the current network infrastructure and contribute enhancements/improvements.• Lead design and deployment of technical solutions including Cisco Nexus routing and switching solutions in Data Center.• Be an integral part of key projects, including data center projects and WAN.• Design a potential new data center room and evaluate technology options.• Automate workflows with WAN and data center.• Explore open-source products; Software Defined Networking (SDN) experience is a plus.OTHER DUTIES:Document end-to-end networking solutions for global deployment of network services.Provide expertise across technical areas while maintaining proficiency in key technical skills.Act as an initial decision point for technical solutions within the work group.Leverage technical and/or business knowledge to coach/mentor the work group.Interface with customers and senior professionals in the organization.Assess impact of significant changes to systems and supporting components.Provide expertise for critical production problem resolution.Explore new technologies to improve efficiency and maximize performance.Capacity planning.This position will involve a combination of design and implementations.Routing: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Strong MPLS experience (candidates must truly understand MPLS).Adept with Cisco IOS and its variants.Strong understanding of routing fundamentals.Strong understanding of distance-vector, link-state, and path-vector routing fundamentals.Strong understanding of switching fundamentals.Proficient at troubleshooting complex, multi-node issues.Knowledge in architecting and/or managing large-scale networking solutions.CCNP, JNCIS, or greater level of knowledge; CCIE preferred.Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.Customer-first attitude.PREFERRED SKILLS:Experience in automation and network management (e.g., DevOps).Ability to write scripts for network automation using Perl, Python, etc.Ability to work in collaborative team environments.Must be available to work off-hours project implementation schedules.Must participate in after-hours on-call support every ten to eleven weeks.Experience with Linux and scripting (Python, Perl, or Ruby) is desired.If you are interested in the position, please forward your profile to
