Sr Network Engineer/Architect
DescriptionSummary
Looking for a senior network engineer with enterprise large scale network architecture experience. The person will be working with the full-time network team and act as a subject matter expert related to the network infrastructure. The person must have effective communication skills and be able to drive discussion and be willing to make recommendations and provide a new perspective, while also understanding and listening to their perspectives. The goal is to deliver the best solution to a modern design or the path to resolution of an existing issue.
Responsibilities:
Act as a primary point of contact to the clinical team and represent the infrastructure team as an extension of our staff.
Schedule and attend meetings, driving discussions to ensure clarification on next steps.
Document project milestones and due dates.
Continually follow up with other staff throughout the week to ensure alignment of their efforts with the milestones and adjust/communicate as needed.
Present status of projects in PowerPoint and other formats as needed.
Skills:
This person must have extensive hands-on experience in designing, supporting, and configuring enterprise networking (Cisco Nexus 7k/9k), data center networking, SD-WAN, WAN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Cisco DNAC, ASA, Palo Alto, Checkpoint firewalls, Cisco VPN, Cisco Wireless, and network security (i.e., segmentation, ISE, etc.). Strongly preferred CCIE certification. We are looking for someone who can take on multiple projects at one time with large enterprise infrastructure experience. Someone who can quickly adapt, is self-driven, and can bring themselves up to speed regarding the current architecture. After-hours planned work and escalation for support will be required. Strong leadership skills and communication skills are essential.
