Student Financial Assistance is dedicated to supporting UCF's mission and goals through the efficient delivery of student aid. This office provides UCF students with a comprehensive offering of financial assistance options to support student success and the attainment of a university degree.
The Opportunity :
UCF’s Student Success and Well-Being Office of Student Financial Assistance is currently accepting applications for an Application Systems Analyst II. This position is a part of the Student Financial Assistance management team and has responsibility for supervising systems and operational functions of Student Financial Assistance. This role assists in setting directions for systems and operational support to efficiently maintain and manage the PeopleSoft system and operate the functions of the Office of Student Financial Assistance.
Responsibilities:
Serves as project leader and is responsible for the continued coordination and development of the PeopleSoft student information system for financial aid.
Assists in the development, acquisition, and/or customizing of new systems to improve the quality of processing and dissemination of information for Student Financial Assistance.
Serves as a key point of contact and liaison to Computer Services & Telecommunications (CS&T) for troubleshooting PeopleSoft financial aid systems, including but not limited to the State of Florida Financial Aid System and the Common Origination and Disbursement System.
Responsible for the supervision, coordination, and reporting with COD, State of Florida, and other systems.
Supervises direct reports who facilitate the administration of Federal, State and/or Institutional Financial Aid Programs.
Supervises and coordinates the integration of the Financial Aid (FA) module with other PeopleSoft (PS) Modules with other offices, including Admissions, Graduate Studies, the Registrar's Office, Human Resources, Institutional Knowledge Management, and Computer Services through collaboration and coordination.
Supervises and directs the continued development of PeopleSoft upgrades and implementation of related systems to support the system.
Responsible for testing and evaluating PeopleSoft upgrades.
Collects and analyzes data as appropriate for the efficient processing of Student Aid.
Supervises and coordinates operational system troubleshooting and reporting of Financial Aid related issues within PeopleSoft.
Supervises the coordination and development of Mods (modifications) to PeopleSoft upgrades to support regulatory changes, process updates, and data integrity.
Supervises the performance of direct reports and the supporting staff for the efficient management of the PeopleSoft system. Fully accountable for the efficient and effective operation of the PeopleSoft system and related systems support.
Attends workshops, meetings, and training sessions to assure professional development and keep abreast of current rules and regulations. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
Preferred Qualifications :
Advanced Degree.
5+ years financial aid experience with a comprehensive understanding of financial aid regulations and legislation.
2+ years supervisory experience.
Program Management experience.
Project Management experience.
PeopleSoft Oracle experience.
Experience in working with PeopleSoft Oracle, Campus Solutions development, modifications and testing.
Ability to develop and execute leveraging financial aid awards to optimize financial aid packages.
Expertise in query development.
