Yesway’s fast growing portfolio currently consists of over 400 stores located in Iowa, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming, including most recently, the 300+ Allsup’s Convenience Store chains. Yesway plans to grow its portfolio to over six hundred convenience stores in selected regions of the United States over the next several years.Position Responsibilities:Provide development and support for our Verifone / Gilbarco POS environment.Handle Tier III tickets and work with store team members to resolve their issues quickly.Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability of POS.Troubleshoot store applications such as our rewards program, monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.Create interfaces for current and new systems utilizing PowerShell and SQL, including FTP, data handling between Yesway and third party for new and existing systems.Pull various data sources via API caller for loading into the data warehouse.Provide Level-3 and advanced support for troubleshooting to resolve complex issues.Use independent judgment, creative thinking, and analytical problem-solving skills to discover ways to solve business problems and improve business processes.Work with TLOG or general log data and manipulate that data as needed.Provide on-call support as needed and handle escalations from Tier II support.Understand general configuration changes and be comfortable making updates.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or 10 years of experience.5+ years of relevant work experience in large organizations in a support role, including Tier III development and support.Requires 5 years’ experience with SQL, POS, and .NET.Experience in C-Stores or retail is required; fuel pump understanding is ideal.Ability to create APIs for interfacing across various programs and ingest data into a Data Warehouse, including creating reports.Hands-on experience as a technical support/application engineer, comfortable with writing scripts for production or stores and POS systems.Previous role as a Tier III engineer or applications support with understanding of ERP and troubleshooting various failure points.Must be able to solve complex and cross-functional problems.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Comfortable working independently on projects and driving them to completion.Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.Familiarity with a ticketing system such as Remedy or Service Now.Previous POS experience.Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills.Experience writing technical documents, software design documentation, and maintenance.Experience with data manipulation and visualization tools.Preferred Skills and Competencies:A proven understanding of database and analysis tools such as SQL and Excel, including demonstrated analytical skills to solve business issues.
