Planning (TMP) System. The TMP program provides the US Navy with Innovative, Modernization and Maintenance software releases supporting Tomahawk Missile Mission Planning. Join our passionate and highly motivated team that is enthusiastic to be leading the US Navy’s critical Tomahawk mission planning technology. You will be responsible for all aspects of TMP lifecycle software development.
Primary Responsibilities:This is a software development role. Your duties include (but are not limited to):• Develop and maintain code, unit test and integrate software components into the TMP system.• Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, interfaces, designs and algorithms for TMP system.• Collaborate with software development team to share expertise and knowledge.
You drive TMP software architecture, design and approach through:• Development, selection, tailoring and deployment of software processes, tools and metrics.• Execution and documentation of software research, development projects and trade studies.
Your accuracy and accountability are essential. You expectations include:• Development of software verification plans, test procedures and test environments.• Provides technical solutions for a diverse range of challenges.• Implementation of TMP and Industry standard software processes.• Collaboration with and provide guidance to less experienced team members.• You work under general direction.
This position requires access to the classified TMP facility. Access to this facility requires a US Secret security clearance.
Typical education/experience:3 years’ experience.
Required qualifications:• Proficiency in VB.Net, SQL, and C++• Experience in all aspects of designing and implementing system architecture, requirements, software and software testing
Preferred qualifications:• Knowledge of Ada and FORTRAN• Experience with software design and development tools such as PowerShell, SlickEdit or Subversion• Experience with Navigation Modeling and Flight Simulation

Scope of Open Role• Start date: ASAP• Duration: 2 months, will convert to FTE before EOY• Contract only or Contract to hire?: CTH• Would this person need to be 100% onsite, or any remote opportunities?: 100% on sight – air-gapped classified environment• Are you okay with out-of-state candidates?: Yes, must be able to relocate at own expense• Work Location Address: 325 JS McDonnell Blvd. // Hazelwood MO, 63042• Work Schedule/Shift Expectations: Flexible Start: 0400- 1000 for 8-10 hours a day 4 to 5 days a week (40 hours)• Expected OT?: Very rarely• Will this role require local Citizenship/Green Card?: US Citizen with Secret clearance only• Does this position require a US Person for purposes of Export Compliance?: No• Will the contractor be expected to travel? If yes, how often?: No• Is this role Safety Sensitive?( DoD, EFO, FAA, FMCSA, NASA): No• Clearance? If yes, what type and do they need this prior to starting?: Secret clearance prior to starting
PROJECT/SKILLS• Size of the Team: 56 people – 30 Software Engineers, 9 Field Support, 7 Cyber Security / Installation, and the rest support staff.• Does the statement of work have any limitations on physical attributes? (Heavy lifting, long hours on feet, confined spaces, harnesses that have certain weight limits, etc.) No• What skill sets have you found work well for this role? Focus, ability to understand complex tasks – break them down to less technical people, self-motivation, we don’t have the time to baby sit.• Preferred soft skills? Plays well with others. Decision making – we need smart people to make decisions and help determine the best way forward.
