This position is responsible for facilitating the exchange of electronic data from our company and/or for our clients. This includes overseeing the daily transmission of files, implementing files, coordination of files and working to resolve issues with vendor files. The EDI File Transfer Manager is also responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service, which meets or exceeds the expectations of our clients, carriers and partners.Responsibilities:
Build and test filesTranslate business requirementsAnalyze and suggest improvementsProvide technical support (internal and external) for filesProcessing inbound files for COBRA and FSA teamsMonitor daily, weekly, and monthly inbound and outbound file transmissions for accuracyReview errors and work with file vendors for corrections (root cause analysis)Implementation process improvementWrite Standard Operating Procedures for the departmentFamiliarity with relevant statutory reporting and EDI requirementsAssume responsibility as a product owner within the organization and participate in product owner team meetings, stakeholder exercises, backlog management, and road mappingCreate process flow and business flow diagramsOversee staff, managing hiring, interviews, annual reviews, etc.Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointProgramming Language – SQL, SOPI and XMLAbility to multitask and lead projects to a successful closurePossess strong interpersonal and proactive troubleshooting skillsUtilize excellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently, assess situations quickly, and make logical and appropriate decisionsEmployee Navigator experience preferredExperience and Education:
BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field3+ years in EDI related experienceThorough understanding of EDI requirements and daily operations of EDI systems, process flows, monitoring transmissions, and interfacing with external contactsPrevious work experience in the health insurance field
