Mission Technologies is leading the next evolution of national defense – the data evolution - by accelerating a breadth of national security solutions for government and commercial customers.The Associate Systems Administrator is responsible for administration, maintenance, and tuning of Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dam Neck Activity (DNA) lab facilities in support of Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT), Advanced training Domain (ATD), Data Collection and Debrief (DCD), etc. These labs are used to support the development, testing, and delivery of shipboard combat system training systems.Candidate will work with an established team to provide full time, on-site services for any and all phases of lab support to ensure customers meet mission goals and objectives. These efforts include the full range of infrastructure design, implementation and integration of the lab facilities.Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux, as well as experience working in Virtualized environments (i.e., VMware).Perform and/or assist with network administration tasks including the configuration of Local Area Networks (LANs) and troubleshooting network issues. Manage switches, routers, firewalls, and other network infrastructure. Build and run cables.Analyze logs to identify and resolve issues.Create and update documentation and drawings.Optimize systems using performance tuning.Identify and recommend materials necessary for lab operations including hardware, software, tools, and consumables.Create and test routine backups of all relevant data.Organize, label, and inventory government equipment in the Embedded Training Lab.Research, plan, and install new hardware and software to better meet current and future needs. Keep hardware and software current within the supported lifecycle.Provide support services for lab demonstrations, software development, integration and test events, inspections, maintenance, training, and OM&S technical management.Maintain an accurate account of lab inventory and maintain up-to-date records in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or the designated inventory system.Strong customer focus, including the ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities.Provide technical support and training to users, resolve issues, and answer questions regarding the operation and use of the ITS networks.Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.Ability to write, read and digest technical documents.Ability to troubleshoot technical issues within multiple systems.Must have or be able to obtain Security + and Linux OS certifications.Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret security clearance.Minimum Qualifications
3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1-year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.Preferred Requirements
Basic understanding of Active Directory preferred.Physical Requirements
