PAY RANGEThe Target Pay Range for this position is $147,800.00-$180,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $114,700.00 - $213,700.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Impact You’ll MakeAs a Staff Product Designer at BECU, you will play a pivotal role in crafting user-centric solutions that align with our members' financial goals. Your work will involve close collaboration with engineering and product teams to bring innovative design concepts to life, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for our members. By advocating for human empathy and leveraging design thinking, you will be instrumental in shaping the experiences our members and staff interact with daily.

What You’ll DoLead User-Centric Research: Conduct research and collaborate with product leaders to discover and prioritize user needs and goals for the BECU Mobile App.Innovative Problem Solving: Tackle complex design challenges through rapid prototyping and iterative processes, developing creative solutions that address user needs and enhance the overall user experience.End-to-End Design Ownership: Manage the complete design process for the BECU Mobile App, from ideation to implementation.User Research Leadership: Lead user research activities within your product team, providing clear and prioritized recommendations based on research findings.Collaborative Design Critique: Participate in design critiques, effectively communicating design goals and incorporating feedback to refine and enhance design outcomes.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with product and engineering teams to deliver cohesive and meaningful end-to-end solutions.Documentation and Communication: Create comprehensive documentation for senior leadership, outlining and prioritizing opportunities to improve user experiences.Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep abreast of emerging technologies and new applications by engaging with the broader UX community.Additional Responsibilities: Take on additional duties as needed to support the design team.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Minimum 7+ years of industry experience in mobile native space.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.Working knowledge of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and its effects on the design process.Portfolio showcasing the complete design process.Proficiency in interaction design practices for the mobile native space.Advanced proficiency in Figma.Basic knowledge of front-end technologies.Expertise in using qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions.Experience leading design sprints and design thinking workshops.Strong storytelling and presentation skills.Commitment to continuous learning.Experience using multiple methods of user research.Familiarity with the latest WCAG guidelines.

Desired Qualifications:Advanced degree preferred.Completion of Advanced UX Certificate program preferred.Experience leading the creation of Design Systems preferred.Experience working in agile teams preferred.
