Sirius Staffing is seeking a
Project Engineer
for a chemical manufacturing site in Mobile, AL. The project Engineer will contribute to the analysis of information, specification of methods and process steps, and selection of plant, machinery, and equipment to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters.Responsibilities:Respond to RFIs on behalf of the Owner organization to facilitate the review and approval of engineering equals and design modifications and maintain documentation through review and audit of contractor staff.Generate and support the deployment of quality assurance plans for field installations of existing designs.Organize and continuously audit the construction site to support accelerated pre-commissioning steps.Under the guidance of senior colleagues, perform activities to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and evaluate their effectiveness.Conduct inspections under supervision to evaluate the quality of engineered works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures; make recommendations for remedial works to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers, acting as a primary point of contact within an established contract management plan.Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and utilize established change management programs to address them.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar discipline.Demonstrated field experience, including drawing redline management, inspection/walk-downs, and pre-commissioning teamwork.Presence in the field; must be capable of climbing ladders, lifting loads in excess of 30 lbs., and becoming harness qualified.Fluency in English.Ability to read engineering specifications and drawings, including P&IDs, Piping Plans, Sections, Isometrics, and equipment general arrangement drawings.Manage and apply safe systems of work without supervision; provide technical guidance as needed.Negotiate without supervision and provide technical guidance on obtaining consensus between internal or external parties with differing interests.Review and create relevant, clear, and effective reports without supervision.Identify, assess, prioritize, and manage risks independently; provide technical guidance as needed.Perform costing, budgeting, and finance tasks under guidance but not constant supervision.
