Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking an Accounting Expert for a Fulltime, Direct-hire opportunity that can be located in multiple major cities.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Philadelphia, PA; Birmingham, AL; Gaithersburg, MD; Atlanta, GA; Phoenix, AZ; Dallas, TX; Downers Grove, IL; or Tampa, FL.
Salary: $98K-115K

As an Accounting Expert within our Regulatory Reporting organization, you will focus on rule interpretation, assisting with business requirements, and working with business lines to drive enhancements and remediation efforts. This position requires comprehension of data lineage, data transformation, and a firm grasp of the part 370 regulation.
This position is primarily based in an onsite location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.
Key Candidate Qualities, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong written and verbal skills required for drafting and communicating business requirements.
- Basic understanding of data querying and SQL is a plus.
- Experience with Bank Regulatory Reporting; Axiom experience would be ideal.
- Self-starter capable of leading regulation-based initiatives with minimal direction.
- Accounting/Finance/Reporting experience/education is ideal.
- Familiarity with banking products and a bank’s balance sheet.
- Experience communicating with senior leadership.
- Strong organization skills.
- The ability to direct others through collaborative work efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Leads specialized accounting, reporting, and analytical expertise in support of a centralized accounting and reporting function.
- Leads the review and analysis of complex transactions; researches applicable accounting, reporting, and regulatory guidance.
- Participates on project teams and prepares accounting memoranda related to new accounting pronouncements.
- Provides accounting expertise related to internal control processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Supports the Centralized Accounting and Reporting Management teams and assists in the development and training of staff related to GAAP and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

- Accounting, Accuracy and Attention to Detail, Effective Communications, Financial Analysis, Financial and Accounting Systems, Internal Controls, Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance.
Work Experience:
