Job StoryThe Junior Lead is responsible for leading a team of 10 to 12 student employees. Reporting to the Senior Lead, this role involves managing activities related to production, personnel, and workflow of kits.
Job Duties
Lead a team of 10 to 12 student employees in the production of kits.
Oversee workflow by monitoring completion/verification of kits.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
Train and coach team members on job tasks, policies, and safety protocols.
Assist in certifying Kitters for production and verification.
Monitor and manage inventory levels for kitting purposes.
Complete daily metrics as needed.
Collaborate with the Senior Lead to optimize production processes and efficiency.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area.
Perform any other duties as assigned to support production operations.
Required EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent
Additional Requirements
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role (1yr. preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Availability to work flexible hours, Monday through Friday between 5 am – 9 pm, including weekends if required.
Reliable transportation.
Must be able to sit for long periods and walk long distances.
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Knowledge of production processes and workflow management.
College degree in a related field but not necessary.
People management skills.
