Job StoryThis position with Ennovar will be working onsite for Spirit AeroSystems' Project Stand-Fast. This project focuses on designing and implementing standard fastener kits. Standardized kitting of these fasteners and washers will promote a lean manufacturing process and provide better visual work instructions to assist newer mechanics when building the part. This position will help the shop by filling kits with fasteners and washers for the daily production demand. The position offers flexible work hours.
Job SummaryA student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
Read standard identification numbers.
Identify the location of fasteners to fill kits from cell centers.
Communicate with mechanics on issues with incorrect fasteners or defective fasteners needing replacement.
Be familiar with the positions on the line to ensure the corresponding kits are given to the correct position.
Keep track of requests for cell centers to be replenished with fasteners, washers, etc.
Effectively use technical reference materials.
Ensure the correct number of kits are filled daily, ready for mechanics to use when they start work.
Communicate effectively with the team or Manager(s) to ensure cell centers have enough fasteners and perform “hot-shot” procedures if there are inadequate fasteners.
Ensure that implemented process enhancements meet improvement targets.
Ability to lift 10-20 pounds as needed and stand for extended periods.
Required EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Good time-management skills.
Communication skills to receive and understand work tasks.
Ability to solve problems and work under stress.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phones, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
