Quality ManagerThe Quality Manager will uphold established quality and food safety procedures and guidelines to ensure the utmost standards are met for company products. You will lead and monitor daily HACCP, lab testing, sanitation, and GMP’s at this SQF certified facility. Hire, train, and supervise your quality team on the lines and in the lab. Shift is currently 4, 10-hour days. Can switch to 5, 8-hour days.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Ownership of the quality control and food safety metrics on a daily basisEnsure compliance with HACCP and SQF certification is upheld for food safetyManage QC laboratory including equipment and calibration, ensure maintenance schedule for equipment is timely for routine cleaningWill serve as SQF practitioner to review, implement and maintain standardsSupervise team including training, mentoring, coaching, performance improvement opportunities, hiring, onboarding, employee reviewsProvide and document KPI’s on food safety at the plantWork closely with cross-functional team members in the plant including production, warehouse, and sanitation personnelReview and address deviations and follow through on corrective actionsProvide feedback to plant management and Quality Director weekly on ongoing updates via verbal communication, email, and documentation recordsManage Listeria control program at facility weeklyAbility to step into role to fill in when Director, supervisor, or lead not available to ensure quality and food safety does not lapseMonthly plant audits required and documented including GMP and sanitationAssist in inspections when needed including regulatory, customer, and governmental inspections occurJob Requirements
Qualifications Required:Bachelor’s degreeHACCP, GMP, and Sanitation certification/trainingMinimum 3 years supervisory experienceWorking in a food industry plant in meats, vegetable, seafood, or poultry preferredFood safety and QA/QC skills, and regulatory requirements understandingExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenMaintains a “boots on the ground” mentality and visible in lab and plantLikes to be challenged and always seeking continuous improvementTakes pride in work and coaching people up to their potentialFor more information, please contact Damon Wickmann at
