Lockheed Martin
Supportable Low Observable (SLO) Engineer - Assignment is at Edwards AFB in CA in support of F-35 flight test. Successful candidate will participate and support all activities associated with LO components of the Developmental Test F-35 aircraft, including monitor of systems performance, assessing failures and corrective actions, recording/reporting, instructing personnel on maintenance procedures, identifying and resolving relevant spares, consumables and support equipment issues, supporting/hosting dignitary briefings on subject matter, and participating in documentation and adjudication of maintenance records.
This assignment includes supporting changing work shifts and mitigating all issues to ensure flight schedules are maintained.
Position requires knowledge of LO materials and processes. Candidate will be required to coordinate closely with the Signature Material and Processes team to aid with material improvements and advancements with application techniques. Task includes evaluating repair allowable and determining appropriate repair procedure.
A level 3 employee
Typically has 5 - 10 years
of professional experience.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
