Overview
The Unix Engineering team is responsible for the strategy, engineering and delivery of the Linux and UNIX platforms within the Bank. Our focus is on automating all aspects of deployment, configuration, testing and management of the hardware, firmware, OS and clustering stack by integrating automation tooling into a larger continuous integration framework and pipeline.
What You’ll Do
Engineering standard OS builds and layered products, RedHat Enterprise Linux and Suse Linux Enterprise Server, automation, system configurations
Testing of components to ensure compatibility and safety
Developing automation to reduce toil and privileged access
Writing technical documentation, including design documentation, training materials, and white papers
How You’ll Lead
Management and ownership of selected critical problem cases within the Bank, drive through to resolution as level 3/4 subject matter expertise engineering resource
Strong leadership skills
Skills You’ll Need
Knowledge of RedHat Enterprise Linux and Suse Linux Enterprise Server
Broad knowledge of other Unix Operating Systems and associated add-on technology stacks
OS level problem determination, problem analysis and tuning experience (memory, disk, network, file system, etc.), problem solving
Experience with Ansible, git/stash, TeamCity/Jenkins, Jira, Confluence
Scripting skills (Python, Perl, shell)
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Self-motivated

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $100,000 to $145,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
