This position exists to fill the role of draftsperson, designer, detailer, or construction contract administrator depending upon the needs of the project, the level of skill of the individual, and the project size. An Architect is an architecture school graduate, or equivalent as recognized by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) who has successfully completed the Architect Registration Exam in any state (licensed).Requirements:Must be an architectural school graduate or equivalentMust be a licensed architect (in any state of the USA)LEED AP BD+C and/or WELL AP credentials preferredDepending upon the level, candidates will have the knowledge or ability to:Proficient in design and collaboration software, including Revit, Bluebeam, MS Office, etc. Experience in additional 3D modeling, graphics, and presentation software preferred.Experience working on large public projects is preferred.Experience working with multiple project delivery methodsWell-rounded in all project phasesPossess a balance of good design sensibilities and technical skillsThorough knowledge of building, zoning, energy, accessibility codes, permitting processes, and experience with conforming to specific regulatory requirementsTechnical proficiency in construction standards, detailing, and coordination with specificationsOutstanding organizational, analytical, communication, leadership, presentation, and time management skillsPassion for leading, collaborating, and learningEmbrace our Touchstones of Design philosophyJob Duties:Depending on the level and the project assignment, an individual may be required to:Engage in all aspects and phases of projects, medium to large sizeWork collaboratively and lead internal design teams, clients, vendors, and contractorsWork with project designers and managers to understand and execute project goalsApply sustainable design principlesDevelop design solutions and technical construction documentsSupervise the team's development of project deliverablesAbility and desire to mentor younger staffOrganize and lead meetings with consultants and clientsLead and present in client meetingsBuild relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and fabricatorsMay participate in marketing efforts and lead presentations to prospective clientsApply the firm's policy regarding client/project confidentiality and utilize the judgment to maintain the confidentiality of such informationWe are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching, and Paid Time Off (PTO).
