Job Description
This is a civilian, contract position. Serve as a Building Automation Systems Controls Technician supporting the U.S. Army Reserve, 99th Readiness Division (RD), Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Energy Team of the Environmental Branch. This position is primarily responsible for the research and development of Building Automation Systems (BAS) projects, administration, and integration of new and existing HVAC and building controls systems, and other duties as assigned.Job Duties
The Contractor’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Serve as a subject matter expert on all topics related to building automation systems from the field-control level to enterprise applications.Provide HVAC technical and operational support.Analyze and troubleshoot existing building systems, identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement, and develop projects to address identified items.Function as regional-level administrator for US Army Reserve (USAR), Enterprise Building Control System (EBCS) server. Serve as a regional representative for the EBCS working group and participate in weekly meetings.Analyze control system functionality and performance and provide hands-on system retuning.Perform regular software backups of Niagara systems and maintain repository of system backups.Assist in maintaining the database of record for all Building Automation System components,
software licenses, and field devices.Provide technical analysis of project submittals, specification sheets, point lists, and control logic diagrams for development and maintenance of USAR strategic goals and objectives.Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings and coordinating, developing, and delivering meeting materials and reports.Review construction documents and make recommendations for integrating energy conservation measures into the design that meet federal sustainability goals.Assist in troubleshooting of remote building automation systems.Required Education and/or Experience
Associate's/Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, facilities/construction management OR five (5) years related field experience required.Experience with data analytics.Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting building systems, identifying deficiencies and opportunities for improvement, and developing projects to address identified items.Tridium Niagara N4 certification and/or Niagara Advanced certification. Required at time of hire or within 12 months of hire date.Three (3) years required experience with commissioning HVAC and BAS Systems of new and existing buildings.Operational experience with Facility Related Control Systems/Industrial Control Systems preferred.Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access.Other Requirements
