ReentryWorks seeks to improve reentry outcomes for people returning to NYC by assessing their specialized needs and connecting them with appropriate services prior to their release from NYS prisons. This role would be based in our Newburgh office but would have a hybrid work schedule: 1-2 days per week in a nearby NYS prison (within ~35 miles), 1-2 days in our Newburgh office, and the rest remote work.*Remote schedules are subject to change with or without notice.Salary range:

$27.47 hourlyEssential Duties:Must be able to commute to various prisons throughout the upstate area to provide reentry services.Communicate with DOCCS staff regarding eligible participants, scheduling callouts/teleconferences, and transitional plans.Using motivational interviewing, interview participants, assess their reentry service needs, and draft comprehensive transitional plans with participants.Evaluate participant needs and match them to services offered by provider networks; provide referrals to outside networks/providers as needed.Maintain accurate progress notes and other service entries in a timely manner.Coordinate with community service providers, DOCCS, and participant family members to finalize the transitional plan and make necessary referrals with actual appointments in the community.Assist with release day logistics, which may include picking up participants from the prison and taking them to their residence as needed.Responsible for having reliable transportation to travel to local NYS prisons and transport participants as needed.Perform other duties as requested.Minimum Qualifications:Associate’s Degree in Human Services; in lieu of degree, high school diploma or equivalent with three years of case management experience.1-year case management experience.Experience working with the formerly incarcerated population.Must have a valid NYS driver’s license.Must have reliable transportation to travel to local NYS prisons required.Key Competencies:Have an understanding of the criminal justice environment.Knowledge of NYC reentry/social services providers and resources.Superior organizational and time-management skills.Strengths-based case management expertise, particularly motivational interviewing, is a plus.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Exceptional assessment and problem-solving skills.Fine attention to detail.Bilingual Spanish is preferred.Proficiency in Google Suite and related software.Ability to work within a team.Benefits of Working at Osborne:Generous benefits include a four-week vacation, tuition reimbursement, flexible work schedule, excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, and a 403(b) plan with a company match.
