Osborne has opened its first temporary transitional housing assistance and reentry program, The Fulton Community Reentry Center (Fulton). Fulton will provide 140 beds of transitional reentry housing to formerly incarcerated men who would otherwise be homeless after discharge from a correctional facility. Fulton will also provide onsite reentry services, including case management, benefits enrollment, employment, health, and workforce development. The facility operates 365 days on a 24-hour basis daily, including evening and weekend hours.

Position Summary:

The Director of Social Services will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation, management, and direction of the social services department with the goal of expeditious placement of clients into permanent housing and providing assistance in becoming self-sufficient. The DSS will provide and ensure the delivery of quality services to all clients through direct supervision of a Case Manager Supervisor, Career Coach and Program Coordinator. The schedule for this position requires flexibility, which may include evenings and weekends. This position reports to the Director of Fulton Community Reentry Center.

Salary Range:

$87,000 - $90,000 annually

Essential Duties:

Work collaboratively with other on-site departments to facilitate effective methods of problem-solving and the alignment of strategiesSupervise social service personnel, including grievances, assessments, chart reviews, and development and implementation of service plansAct as the point person with subcontractors and/or service providers including, but not limited to, medical providers, mental health providers, substance abuse providers, and employment services providersIdentify changing program needs and program gaps and develop new services, service directions, and/or programs to meet client needsEnsure all reports are submitted accurately and in a timely mannerMonitor staff time and attendance utilizing the Paylocity programMonitor demographic reports to ensure consistency with ILP complianceEnsure all employees in the Social Services department receive all mandated training and any courses which are indicated for additional professional growth and development as a department or as individualsCollect, analyze, and report on departmental statistics as required by DHS, DSS, and OTDAFacilitate weekly meetings with social service staff to address client issues and progressEnsure adherence to all required regulations and DHS policies and proceduresAct as a liaison with other department directorsProvide crisis intervention and stabilization as needed in the programImplement data-driven decision-making processes and maintain accurate records and reports for evaluation and accountability purposesFoster collaborative relationships with community organizations, government agencies, nonprofits, and other service providers to enhance coordination and referral networksTasks may be modified, expanded, and/or assigned accordingly, as needed within the scope of workIn-person attendance is required to collaborate with co-workersPerform other duties as assignedRequirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field preferred or Bachelor's degree with related experienceA minimum of five years experience of direct social service experienceA minimum of three years of supervisory experienceKey Competencies:

Extensive experience in social services, including progressive leadership rolesStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of data while succinctly summarizing conclusions to leadership and key stakeholdersAbility to work effectively under tight deadlines, strong attention to detail, and time management skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsAbility to take the initiative and drive for resultsAbility to communicate with all levels of the organization and build strong relationshipsIn-depth knowledge of social issues, policies, and best practices related to social servicesStrong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse teamExceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skillsDemonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and evaluationProficiency in budgeting, resource allocation, and grant writingFamiliarity with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesPassion for social justice and a commitment to making a positive impact on individuals and communitiesExperience working with Department of Homeless Services (DHS)
