Nooter/Eriksen is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Specialty Products Team in its offices in Fenton, MO. This role is part of a team that is responsible for providing fired boilers and auxiliary equipment. The expectation is that this will be a hybrid position depending on business needs.
DAY IN THE LIFE:
The Project Engineer reports directly to the Director of Specialist Products and will be the main technical lead on boiler design projects. You will serve as the main technical contact for the Customer.
As the Project Engineer, you will:
Manage Supplier Subcontracts through specification, requisitioning, and fabrication to meet all contract specifications.
Provide technical customer support from project start to equipment delivery.
Support the Field Project Engineer as needed once equipment starts delivering to the jobsite.
Maintain customer relationships through quality support while minimizing costs and risks to N/E.
Travel up to 15%.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The following qualifications are essential to be effective in this role:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience reviewing contracts and project specifications, and reviewing technical aspects of supplier proposals. Familiarity with boilers is strongly preferred.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; highly professional, organized, and trustworthy team player.
Proficiency in English.
Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data, and analyze results.
