Account Manager!Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions , the leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining and tunneling industries, currently has an opening for a Virtual Account Manager.Key Responsibilities:Expands relationships to include as many relevant decision-makers and influencers at the targeted accounts.Creates and manages account plans.Assembles, leads, and manages internal personnel as required to achieve the account plans and business targets.Monitors and reports competitor activities and conducts relevant market research that enables the Company to maintain market competitiveness.Provides input into strategic planning for the continued expansion of business within the US.Provides input to Business Line Managers to address product offerings.Develops sales opportunities for Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions mechanical cutting product lines within the mining and tunneling sectors with a focus on road headers.Assesses customers’ total potential with Sandvik products. Performs opportunity analysis by customer and site.Acts as key contact for account and liaises with appropriate personnel to communicate.Maintains accurate customer records as prescribed by the Company.Assists as required in any physical inventory counts (especially any consignment stocks).Identifies aftermarket issues and opportunities and acts as liaison with the customer through to completion.Performs gap analysis on existing fleet to identify sales opportunities.Builds strong working relationships with relevant customer personnel.Participates as a key member in an account or sales team.POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducation / ExperienceBachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience plus education in business or engineering disciplineSeven years related experience in the mining industryAbility to effectively lead or influence others without direct reporting relationshipsAbility to create a long-term business development planKnowledge of the relevant industriesKnowledge of mechanical excavation equipment and methodsAbility to work as part of an integrated, broad teamFlexible, self-motivated with demonstrated initiativeAbility to develop knowledge of customer business processesExcellent customer relations and active listening skillsHighly developed time management and organizational skillsHighly developed interpersonal skillsComputer LiteracyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdditional Requirement:Work responsibly and safely on your own and as part of an integrated teamEasily develop productive relationships with clients and prospects and with stakeholders throughout the companyComfortable with travel (~50%), domestic and overseasPossess a valid driver’s licenseSandvik offers a comprehensive total compensation package including a competitive benefits package of life, health, dental, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401(k)-retirement savings plan.
