Software Engineer - SIM Developer - GMD Weapons Systems (GWS)
Description:What We're DoingBecome a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
The WorkAs a Developer for the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Architecture and Delivery (A&D) SPA SIM team you will work in a collaborative environment on internal model framework development, internal tactical to model conversion, supporting application development, and translation of coding languages for modernization efforts. On occasion you will work to support deliverable documentation of the models developed after performing a verification and validation effort.
Basic Qualifications:• Must already have an Active Secret Clearance• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM related field and minimum 2 years of related experience or Masters Degree in a STEM related field with 0-2 years related experience.• Recent experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile development environment• Recent GWS experience• Working knowledge of C++, GoLang, Python, Bash, Javascript, SQL, MongoDB• Experience in developing code in a Dev Ops environment using Bitbucket or GitHub• Recent experience applying software requirements to development• Experience in both Windows and Unix OS environments• Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment.
Desired Skills:• Computer Science Bachelor’s Degree• Experience with Ada, MATLAB, Rust• Recent Experience in GMD GS/GWS Model Development (or equivalent experience)• Scrum Master Certification• Exposure to System Engineering concepts related to requirements and working in DOORS• Experience with Integrated risk management• Experience with requirements development/collaboration• Exposure to Stimulation and Simulation Software

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position:
