Your missions:Location: Lenexa, KSThe Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Key user is responsible for the configuration and maintenance of the system settings, workflows and structures to optimize efficiency and accuracy of the processes executed in Quality Control. This individual will support the team to troubleshoot technical issues, provide user guidance and coordinate with the Quality Control user for their resolution when necessary.Responsibilities and Key Duties:Assist with the configuration and implementation of LIMS and keep the system running up to dateEnsure that the integrity, reliability and performance of LIMS is maintained.Address and resolve issues arising with the system in a timely mannerResponsible for user trainingImplement and maintain relevant master data in the LIMS systemMap and implement Quality Control Process Changes in LIMSServe as primary contact with LIMS technical support services.Anticipate and resolve problems that may impact production deadlines, providing guidance and support for identifying the root cause during process deviations.Ensure open communication for self and Quality Control team members to coordinate any related tasks.Follow all relevant department policies, procedures, SOPs, and other requirements.Assist other departments as needed.Core Competencies:Ability to focus on and manage detailed methodologies in a changing environmentAbility to work as a team member in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsCollaborate with empathy - Has a positive attitude towards collaborationEngage and develop - Clarifies short-term directions. Demonstrates continuous leadership ability and qualities.Drive ambition and accountability - Self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision.Influence others - Communicates transparentlyTechnical / Functional Competencies:Flexibility to complete necessary tasks with last-minute changes to the schedule and establishment of new prioritiesConfident trainerExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenExercise rapid learning abilityStrong attention to detail is a mustExcellent computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and JDE MRP systemStrong math skillsQualifications:Education - Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (i.e. chemistry, general biology, cellular biology, microbial biology, etc.), informational technology or computational sciences.Work Experience - Previous work experience in a laboratory fieldOther (consider certifications, specialized knowledge and/or training, etc.) - Knowledge of Quality Systems is preferredPhysical Requirements:Able to read, write legibly and communicate in EnglishStanding for long periods of timeDexterity: Frequent fine motor movementOccasionally push, pull or lift 50 lbsWorking Conditions:Work functions will be carried out primarily in a laboratoryTravel Required:Some travel will be required for training or user trainingThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the role.
