Description

The Space Algorithms group concentrates on developing and implementing novel algorithms for solving trailblazing problems in the developing new space economy. These include, but are not limited to, GNC algorithms, low-thrust and impulsive trajectory optimization, cislunar trajectory design, and machine learning applications in the space domain.Your job will be to innovate upon existing capabilities, assimilate current research, and implement state-of-the-art algorithms. You will assess mission concepts, define requirements, and apply your mathematical skills and knowledge to design, verify, and validate robust solutions. This fundamentally involves building out our in-house astrodynamics simulation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate algorithmic solutions which are highly reliable and scalableResearch and identify useful algorithms for challenging space-based applicationsOptimize the runtime performance of existing implementationsExtend the existing algorithmic suite for low-thrust trajectory optimizationDevelop benchmarks and extensive testing programs for cislunar trajectory designContribute to team discussions, providing insight and feedback to collectively drive innovation across several related projects
