Project Manager – Controls & Automation Engineer
working in
Milwaukee, WI , you will be part of the Technical Services and Support (TS&S) department. You will be responsible for developing, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling capital projects from $500k up to $5M. You will work closely with the Brewery and engineering consultant teams to deliver projects from inception to completion. In addition to project management, this role will also
provide Electrical, Packaging Automation and Process Automation Control, Subject Matter Expertise
to Project Managers leading packaging, brewing, and utility Capital Project Design. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Electrical, Automation & Controls Design, and works closely with the Integrated Supply Chain operations teams.The Responsibilities:• Provide project management expertise to execute projects complying with the project management philosophy (FEL) and all of MCBC’s financial policies. This includes reviewing alternate delivery methodologies, recommending alternative courses of action, and determining resource requirements to successfully execute approved solutions within budget and schedule requirements.• Work with Consulting firms and Construction Managers to issue construction bids, purchase equipment and materials, and begin construction of the project.• Identify Value Engineering opportunities to deliver the best solution at the optimal cost while minimizing interruptions to operations.• Act as Subject Matter Expert for Electrical, Packaging Automation and Process Automation, supporting the Brewing Design PMs, Packaging Design PM’s, and Utility Design PM’s for all electrical and automation scope on projects.• Maintain project expenditure forecasts, provide Estimates at Completion, and deliver the project to customer satisfaction.• Travel up to 30%.The Other Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering with Electrical/Automation Engineering experience.• 5-8 years of experience in a sanitary food/beverage production environment with a proven track record in high-speed, high-volume packaging or process manufacturing.You love a challenge and complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with an understanding of business priorities.You build relationships and collaborate to achieve desired outcomes.You take accountability for results – acting with
