The analyst will analyze business domains, evaluate strengths and weaknesses, measure potential business value, create defects and user stories, develop test scripts, participate in acceptance testing, and provide system support.This position is located at the

in the Office of Information Technology Services (OITS). The position is full-time,
in-person .Examples of Work Performed:
Serves as a liaison between the business community and the other functional organizations to provide technical solutions to meet the needs of customers.Works closely with business partners to identify process improvements and leverage technology.Utilizes best practices and adheres to established processes and documentation delivery for the analysis, design, testing and implementation of new/modified applications.Performs functional acceptance testing of development deliverables to verify they meet the business and functional requirements. Participates in release planning activities as scheduled.Provides superior customer service while managing relationships with end users, business area leaders, partners, and vendors to ensure deliverables exceed expectations.Provides research and triage support of reported system issues.Creates defects and user stories, adding detailed acceptance criteria to ensure requirements are captured. Tracks tasks and progress towards completion using defined project management tools and processes.Identifies opportunities for improving quality and efficiency of service.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of techniques of systems analysis and design.Knowledge of flowcharting techniques, operations, procedures, and systems.Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.Skilled in use of desktop software and project management tools such as DevOps or Jira.Skilled at writing documentation, user stories, and user guides.Ability to process information logically, analyze and interpret data.Ability to identify and define business needs, prepare business requirements and functional specifications.Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments, communicate technical information effectively, establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field.2+ years of experience in business analysis or quality assurance.Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in quality assurance methodologies, and familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.Experience using DevOps, Jira, or other project management tools.Special Notes:
