Responsibilities: The Acute Care Therapy Department at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center provides the evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide variety of diagnoses in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding medical setting. Our Therapists are critical members of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to achieving optimal outcomes for our patients. We are committed to teamwork and collaboration; our participation in interdisciplinary patient rounding occurs daily on a number of units throughout the facility providing therapy professionals to work autonomously. Expectations:

Provides patient care, including evaluating the patient for treatment, providing and directing administration of the care plan upon the referral from the physician. Consults with other health care disciplines to coordinate therapeutic programs and discharge planning for individual patients. Instructs patients and caregivers in home program exercises and functional activities. Assists with patient program management, while delivering quality patient services. Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program. Arizona Occupational Therapist License. American Heart Association BLS. Preferred: 2 years progressive experience in clinical area, performing patient clinical care preferred. Masters or Doctorate degree in appropriate clinical area preferred. Prior use of electronic health record preferred.
