We are working with an industry leading food manufacturer in the Seattle market seeking a Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost accounting. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles and a proven track record in managing financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in cost accounting, enabling them to drive cost-effective strategies and improve profitability.Key Responsibilities:Financial Planning and Analysis:Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making.Cost Accounting:Oversee the implementation and maintenance of a robust cost accounting system.Develop and analyze cost standards, variances, and profitability reports.Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.Provide valuable insights into product costing, pricing, and profitability analysis.Financial Reporting:Ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements, including GAAP and regulatory standards.Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.Financial Management:Manage cash flow and working capital to optimize liquidity.Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, investments, and risk management.Monitor and control expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.Team Leadership:Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support.Recruit, develop, and mentor finance staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.MBA or CPA preferred.Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, budgeting software).Strong leadership and communication skills.
