We are seeking an engineering student to join our Advanced Surgical R&D team for an electrical engineering internship during Summer, 2025.The Advanced Surgical division is the provider of innovative solutions that enhance the outcomes of laparoscopic, robotic and open surgical procedures. The division's vision is to change lives by lowering the impact of surgery. Advanced Surgical products include:Advanced insufflation systemsAdvanced energy systemsElectrosurgical units (ESU's)Laparoscopic surgical instrumentsAs an Advanced Surgical Electrical Engineering Intern, you will learn alongside seasoned professionals through hands-on application of engineering principles and methodologies. Your efforts in problem solving, creative thinking and cross-functional collaboration will directly contribute to the team's R&D projects and initiatives. You will be involved in the new product development process for a cutting edge medical instrument that CONMED is developing and will have the opportunity to learn the CONMED design control process, and be intimately involved with product design, development, verification and validation.Intern Responsibilities: Complete assigned tasks within product development schedule and report to senior design engineers on the outcomes of their workReview electrical schematic design to verify design output will match design inputsAssist with verification and debug of new printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA)Contribute to design component selection of electronic discrete components by performing component analysis and design trade-offsAssist senior engineers with creating lab demonstrations and proof of conceptPerform verification and validation activities for design iterations, including creating test protocols and reportsParticipate in weekly design review meetings and play a role in adding innovation and unique design features to the medical device being developedPosition Requirements: Pursuing completion of a bachelors or masters degree in a related field, such as BSEEMust be available to work onsite out of the Denver, CO facility, Monday - Friday throughout the summer internship program (May 19 - August 8, 2025) Disclosure as required by applicable law:The hourly pay rate range for this position is $19.00 - $31.00The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill levelThe hourly pay rate range is CONMED's good faith belief at the time of this positingThis position is not eligible for employee-based visa sponsorship or agency useThis position will require 0-10% travelAs a CONMED intern, you will receive competitive compensation and holiday pay.
