About the job Manufacturing Engineer Position: Manufacturing EngineerCompensation: $70,000 (based on experience)Job Overview:As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes and procedures to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that align with company goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and systems- Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement- Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production processes- Monitor and analyze production data to identify and address any issues- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards- Participate in new product development projects and provide input on design for manufacturability- Train and mentor production staff on new processes and procedures- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology- Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the manufacturing processQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and systems- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies- Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills- Strong project management skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsLocation: Ann Arbor, MI
