The Senior Engineer Mechanical participates in a team environment consisting of engineers and designers to produce construction documents for the following systems: HVAC wet/dry, plumbing, controls and the like.

Performs engineering tasks ensuring systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities and institutional facilities are safe from fireWork with other professionals to design and implement fire safety systems such as sprinkler systems, alarms, and emergency exitsCoordination with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines' inputs are incorporatedSupport project on-site execution and make decisions to support projects and act as technical consultantProvides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertiseAssists in developing studies and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by discipline teamWorks will include close coordination with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design officesAssists in the development of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, general arrangements and sequences of operation associated with these systemsOther duties as assignedThe information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
