Assistant Controller
to join out team! The
Assistant Controller
will play a crucial role in supporting our Controller and the company's overall financial operations. this position is responsible for helping manage financial reporting, budgeting, account reconciliations, and supporting job cost accounting processes withing the commercial mechanical sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Controller in managing the day-to-day accounting operationsOversee job cost reporting and help maintain accurate project budgets, tracking progress and analyzing job performanceCollaborate with project managers and other internal teams to provide financial insights and assist with budgeting for projectsAssist in the preparation with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting principlesLead and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy in their work and supporting their developmentQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in construction or mechanical services companyStrong understanding of job cost accounting, construction contracts, and financial reporting standardsproficient in accounting softwareStrong skills in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data analysis and financial modelingExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across departments
