Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced
Director of IT .Under the direction of the VP of IT, the IT Director oversees the leadership and management of the Help Desk, Desktop Engineering, and Infrastructure teams for the organization. The IT Director is responsible for managing, coaching and mentoring these three highly cross-collaborative technical teams, as well as managing relationships with IT Managed Services Providers and vendors. This high-visibility, forward-thinking role works closely with senior PPLA leadership to future-proof the infrastructure and support teams by promoting, designing, and overseeing the implementation of a cloud-first, high-availability, secure blend of best-in-class technology solutions and building and leading high-performance Agile teams while implementing and following industry frameworks including ITIL, NIST, and Zero Trust in a fast-paced, patient-first environment.

Our Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience required.Certifications preferred: CISSP, ITIL 4.0, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert.Minimum of twelve (12) years' experience in IT and five (5) years of IT management experience required.Minimum of five (5) years' experience designing & implementing MS Azure and Cloud solutions for Enterprise organization required.Minimum of five (5) years' experience managing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 level technicians, administrators, and systems engineers.Strong knowledge of Enterpise firewall technologies and interconnectivity of LAN/WAN/SAN systems and server platforms, including configuration and troubleshooting.Experience required with Citrix, VPNs, and DR platforms, i.e., Veeam, Backup Exec.Expert in designing, implementing, and overseeing critical infrastructure system monitoring solutions and processes.Understanding the information security implications of technology solutions and undertaking proactive measures to ensure compliance with the Information Security policies and processes.Minimum of 5 years of experience operating sophisticated technical solutions including hands on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, IPSec VPN tunnels, remote access, active directory, VMware and Veeam. Abortion patients are cared for at each of our health centers, and in part through the administrative, support, and other non-clinical services provided at all PPLA locations, and by all PPLA employees. Supporting these critical services is an essential job duty, and a fundamental responsibility of all employees and contractors.Partner closely with Senior IT leadership to design, communicate, and promote a secure, cloud-first technology infrastructure and roadmap.In partnership with the VP of IT, support and help lead the technical implementation and rollout of the IT roadmap for the organization.Build, lead, and manage a team of agile network & systems engineers.Help design, build, and continuously optimize the ITIL service delivery framework across the IT department.Oversee the Service Desk team's continuous improvement and ITIL optimization roadmap including ITSM, process design and related change management.Enforce PPLA's Change and Configuration Management policies and practices.Manage network monitoring, log management for network, servers, WAPs, and firewalls for connectivity and security. Execute incident response procedures as needed.Develop and promote standard operating procedures. Execute the change management process for networks and systems.Manage escalations to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner and SLA's are met.Communicate and escalate critical issues to senior leadership and coordinate technical incident response needs with the responsible technical teams.Collaborate with IT leadership to continuously evaluate opportunities for improving our systems to reduce support needs.Ensure high availability of the enterprise technology infrastructure stack: 1) Virtual/physical server environment (Windows Server, AD, VMware, Azure, SaaS systems), 2) Headquarters and Disaster Recovery infrastructures, 3) Business networks (wired & wireless) and ISP circuits, 4) Microsoft 365, & 5) VOIP (Cisco Unified Communications Manager & SaaS-based cloud phone systems such as 8x8).Serve as a point-of-contact for telecommunication carriers and service providers and coordinate circuit design, provisioning, installation, and troubleshooting.Support refresh cycles including budgeting and forecasting hardware needs for the organization.Conduct routine hardware/software/SaaS/Cloud audits of systems to ensure compliance with standard & security policies, configurations, and up-to-date patching.Manage the portfolio of On-Prem and Cloud/Hybrid systems licensing, usage, and compliance for all back-end infrastructure systems including hardware, software, and Cloud utilization.Oversee software installations and upgrades, including regular patching.Oversees the creation and maintenance of real-time documentation for operating system hardware/software and user IDs, access codes, passwords.Serve as the technical subject matter expert of the IT infrastructure.Plan and implement systems and network integrations, as needed.Proactively monitor computing platforms for performance issues, and respond within strict SLA time frames, and escalate incidents according to incident handling policies and protocols.Demonstrate and practice defined testing for all changes in the production environment.Provide guidance, documentation, and appropriate training to PPLA technical and other employees.Create the required design and support documentation for infrastructure projects, systems builds, processes, and changes.Manage planning for resource availability, capacity and scalability of hardware, software, Cloud, and network and communication systems.Plan, coordinate, implement, and support the company's information technology cyber security program and architecture.Collaborate with internal departments to ensure coordination of interdepartmental activities aligns with organizational goals and initiatives.Manage direct report(s) to include but not limited to overseeing successful completion of tasks / duties, review of timesheets in a timely manner, setting productivity goals & quality of work output expectations by exercising effective judgment and addressing and/or elevating grievances (staff concerns), as appropriate.Adhere to PPLA's policies and procedures for interviewing / selecting new hires, promotions, transfers, performance management and separations.Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of IT.Generous salary and benefits package includes:
