SR Electrical Engineer

The ideal candidate:•Subsystem design, analysis, schematic capture, circuit board layout, prototyping, bring-up and debugging, hardware bug tracking, functional verification and signal characterization, test and support through production.Knowledge/ Skill RequirementRequired Skills•3+ years of experience with designing and implementing of analog, digital or mixed-signal circuit boards from concept through production using operational amplifiers, filters, and transistors, analog to digital and digital to analog converters, power supply components, multi-GHz Serdes, DRAM interfaces (DDR4), CAN, I2C, Ethernet, SPI, FPGAs, ASICs, and processors•3+ years of experience with testing/troubleshooting/qualification techniques, signal integrity, layout and grounding principles•3+ years of experience with DFx (EMC, EMI, reliability, manufacturability, test, etc.)•Experience working with Gigabit Ethernet PHY and 802.3af / at PoE circuitry•power system and circuit design techniques for DC/DC, AC/DC, and various topologies (buck, boost, buck/boost, flyback, flybuck, et al)•Experience in highspeed interface design: JESD, LVDS, multi gigabit Ethernet, USB etc.. Signal integrity design and verification with the above buses are crucial to this position.•Strong emphasis on full lifecycle development of new hardware systemsnot small incremental updates to legacy hardware•Strong understanding of computers, programming languages, scripting tools and automation (C/C++, Python, Matlab, etc.)•Ability to work in a fast paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up atmosphere•Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Desired Skills & Experience•Experience with RTOS, embedded systems•Knowledge of networking and internetworking concepts and technologies (Ethernet OSI Layers TCP/IP packet inspection and analysis, application protocols)•Familiarity with Altium design suite or similar•Wireless or Communications products experience is a strong plusAdditional Job Requirements:•BS or MS in either Electrical Engineering•Minimum of 3 years of industry experience developing real-world products or systems•Willingness / ability to travel occasionally for customer visits / supplier visits•Self-motivated personality and ability to work independently as well as on a team•Ability to multi-task between two or more projects•Must be US Citizen
