The Associate Director of Lateral Partner Integration manages all slated (capital) partner integration initiatives to ensure a smooth transition and successful long-term integration experience for laterals. The position works closely with Practice Group Leaders, Practice Group Directors, Directors of Business Development as well as key functional areas including Finance and Billing to create a connected team, align key goals and milestones and roadblocks to success. The Firm's priority is to create a collaborative environment for our new partners and to ensure they receive the tools and support needed to quickly accelerate their practice. This is a hands-on position that requires the individual to provide proactive and reliable partner level integration. The role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong project management skills, superior client service orientation and relationship-building skills, and excellent written and verbal communications skills. The Associate Director of Lateral Partner Integration relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Drive the lateral integration process for all new slated (capital) lateral partnersDevelop and implement robust integration program, processes, and practices to ensure that new slated partners are effectively and fully integrated into the firm; foster strong lines of communication, awareness, and relationship-building across the partnershipWork with Practice Group Directors and Directors of BD to prepare initial lateral integration/client development action plans for laterals prior to arrival and review lateral integration plans for current laterals (0-2 years) to assess integration and ongoing needsLiaise with the Director of Partner Recruiting, Practice Group Directors (PGDs) and Directors of Business Development (Dir. BDs) ensure successful pre-arrival orientation items are coordinated for incoming lateralCoordinate and participate in integration team calls in preparation for arrivalServe as key internal point of contact for new lateral and as a conduit to other Business Services personnelLiaise with Business Development, Marketing and PR teams on various integration items for lateral (e.g., press release; client action plan, cross-selling opportunities, etc.)Help facilitate connections across the Firm for new laterals, e.g., with Business Development directors and managers and partners identified for cross-sellDevelop an understanding of the Firm's clients to more efficiently liaise with laterals and encourage cross-sellingSchedule and lead all lateral integration cross-functional check-in calls and circulate follow-up items post calls to integration team; ensure identified integration partners are executing on their commitmentsIdentify and raise integration issues/obstacles to the Practice Group Leaders and Directors, and the Director of BD in a timely and appropriate mannerEvaluate and establish tools for measuring the success of recruitment and integration efforts within the firm and across regions and practice groups; regularly report on successes and areas for improvement, including the subsequent performance of lateral partnersContinuously refine all lateral integration program materials and ensure that updated resources are made available for useMonitor current trends and innovations in integration strategies and practicesOther various integration duties as requestedJob Specifications:

Bachelor's degreeAt least eight (8) years of related work experienceKnowledge of attorney recruitment best practices, policies and proceduresKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)Superior client service orientation and relationship-building skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong project management skillsAbility to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilitiesAbility to handle and maintain confidential informationSuccessful candidates will be provided with outstanding career opportunities and will receive a competitive total rewards package with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses.Target Hiring Range $149,000 - $232,000Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
