We are seeking a dynamic and skilled
Assistant Executive Director
of
IDD Services
in
Nashua, NH . The Assistant Executive Director works with the Executive Director to maintain a high-quality program in accordance with the mission statement, state, National office standards, and policies of Community Options Inc.
Responsibilities
• Formulate and implement an advisory board which will assist the organization, and develop and expand their resources, thereby improving service delivery • Present a clear picture of issues related to local operations to the Executive Director and/or the National office, outlining possible solutions, and indicating advantages and disadvantages • Work in conjunction with the Executive Director to locate and recommend appropriate grant and funding opportunities to the National office • Recommend sound personnel practices regarding employee recruitment, evaluations, compensation, employee benefits, and terminations • Institute and maintain appropriate management, financial and personnel controls, and provide the National office with the necessary documentation and paperwork • Promote and maintain the public image of Community Options, Inc., in the state and local area • Establish and maintain effective relationships with local, state, and governmental agencies • Participate in developing long and short-term department goals, objectives, and systems • May perform the duties of Community Support Staff as necessary, in accordance with current • Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree with two years of IDD experience • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record • Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership experience • Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities • Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
