Portfolio Manager, Strategy
The Portfolio Manager, Strategy is a pivotal role within the Operational Excellence and Strategy team, responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of strategic projects across the operational excellence team. This role requires a strong ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, identifying and addressing blockers, and driving successful execution. The Portfolio Manager, Strategy will play a key role in reporting on project progress, facilitating design and execution, and ensuring the seamless implementation of new workflows.
This Is What You’ll Do:
Portfolio Management and Oversight:
Oversee a portfolio of strategic projects, ensuring they are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for multiple initiatives, tracking progress, identifying gaps, and mitigating risks.
Reporting and Stakeholder Communication:
Provide regular updates and detailed reports on the status of projects within the portfolio, highlighting successes, identifying gaps, and addressing potential risks.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring they are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
Issue Resolution and Blocker Management:
Identify and address blockers that may hinder project progress, working proactively to remove obstacles and maintain momentum.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and strategies to overcome challenges.
Design, Facilitation, and Execution:
Lead the design and facilitation of new workflows, ensuring they are effectively integrated into operational processes.
Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring that new workflows are implemented smoothly and deliver the intended outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and support for strategic initiatives across the organization.
Facilitate collaboration among departments, including Operations, IT, Finance, and HR, to drive successful project outcomes.
Continuous Improvement and Strategic Alignment:
Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure all projects within the portfolio are closely aligned with the organization’s strategic goals and contribute to overall business success.
This Is What It Takes:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, innovation management, or related fields preferred.
Demonstrated experience in leading multiple cross-functional projects and driving strategic initiatives required.
Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project management tools and workflow design (e.g., MS Project, Miro, Visio, Asana, Trello, etc.) required.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization required.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders required.
Experience in motivating and rallying teams to achieve project goals.
Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable project plans required.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving results and driving impact.
