Job Description
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and order in the university center by performing a variety of cleaning tasks and meeting room set-ups. Strive to achieve perfection in supporting student activities and programs, meetings, and special events. Provide high-level customer service and uphold Webb Center staff’s work values.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of institutional cleaning methods and equipment operation. Demonstrated ability to properly operate a variety of housekeeping cleaning equipment, which may include but not be limited to (floor polishers, vacuums, shampoo machines, wet/dry vacuums, brushes, burnisher and auto scrubber). Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and customers. Demonstrated ability to read and write the English language and to understand and follow oral instructions. Demonstrated ability to stand for extended lengths of time (five hours or more). Demonstrated ability to lift up to 25 lbs. many times per day. Demonstrated ability to learn, retain and utilize training procedures.

Basic housekeeping training in the use of equipment and chemicals.

Basic experience operating standard housekeeping equipment.
Basic experience in the use and application of chemicals such as germicides, disinfectants and caustic solutions.

Some experience as a housekeeping worker in a large office, school or institutional setting.
Conditions of Employment
This position is considered essential personnel and will be required to work during inclement conditions and certain holidays when the university is closed.
The position is required to work Monday through Friday evenings, 1:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Annual Salary/Hourly Rate Salary is commensurate with education and experience and begins at $ - 27,534
