Position summary: Project team member responsible for: (1) providing project oversight for a Construction Management contract using knowledge of general engineering and construction principles and practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate and execute assignments as necessary to accomplish the goals and objectives defined by the client, (2) ensuring work is performed and completed in strict accordance with the contract documents, (3) acting as a technical advisor to the Owner and other team members, (4) teaching and mentoring less experienced engineers and other team members, and (5) other tasks as may be required.
Responsible for delivering for assigned projects including; scope, schedule and budget.
The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00.
Essential functions and responsibilities
Develop Project Management Plans (PMP) for assigned projectsProvide construction management oversight during all phases of the projectCreate and maintain project schedulesPrepare and update cost estimatesPrepare and maintain project budgetsDevelop and implement project specific QA programsManage sub-consultants and technical resourcesCoordinate and interface with the client and project teamPrepare bid packages and assist with contractor procurementDevelop and coordinate project scopesOversee and manage assigned staffPrepare, monitor and update schedules and budgetsDevelop and prepare extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposalsReview and approve contractor invoicingParticipate in client presentationsCoordinate and assist Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposals

Required Experience
OSHA 30 Hour Certification8-12 years' experience working as a Construction Project Manager, (preference will be given to those with 3 years or more of experience as a PM in a Construction Management assignment)Strong in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook
Preferred Experience
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, architectural or a related field from an accredited engineering, construction management or architectural programExperience working with NYC Public AgenciesCCM or PMP certificateLEED AP certificationExperience working with city, county state or federal governmental agenciesProject management experienceExperience with Design-Build project delivery method (5 years preferable)Experience managing multidiscipline project teams
Working Conditions
Work is performed in both an office and field (construction) environment. Office to field time is approximately 25% to 75% respectively. Field work requires climbing, walking and standing at a construction site and may be outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required. This position will be located within the 5 boroughs of NYC.
