Join our team! Laredo Medical Center’s (LMC) Physical Medicine Department is now hiring a FT Physical Therapist to work at LMC’s 326 bed acute care hospital. The department is located in the main campus of Laredo Medical Center. This is a busy department that sometimes requires flexibility in scheduling. Employees report directly to the Director of Physical Medicine. The hospital is located in sunny Laredo, Texas, just 150 miles south of historic San Antonio. Read a full position description below.
Position Insight:
Evaluating and assessing needs of patients and formulating treatment plans. Provides therapy services defined in treatment plans. Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare staff. May supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to the Director of Physical Medicine. Will complete assessment and create plane of care for patients needing PT, along with supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to carry out plan of care. Will demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills and follow LMC’s code of conduct.

Required:
Graduate of registered PT approved Bachelor’s degree program and shall have completed equivalent training, and shall meet practice requirements of appropriate State of Texas.Preferred:
Master’s degree or Doctorate.Experience:
Required:
Experience in working with an adult and geriatric population is necessary; education/experience serving people with physical disabilities is desirable.Licenses:
Required:
Registered Physical Therapist in the State of Texas.Required:
BLS within 30 days of hire.
