Summary :
Under general supervision by a radiation oncologist, medical physicist, or department manager, performs a variety of technical procedures within the radiation oncology department. Performs CT simulations and delivers therapeutic radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
Formal Education Required :a. Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program
Experience & Training Required :a. Certified in radiation therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)b. Current state license for radiation therapy from the Ohio Department of Healthc. Current BLS/CPR certification from The American Heart Association
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:a. Knowledge of various radiation therapy treatment modalities (3D, VMAT, SRS, SBRT, HDR, SRT)b. Understanding of radiation safety standards and best practicesc. Interpersonal skillsd. Critical thinkinge. Detail orientedf. Understanding of proper patient lifting techniques
Level of Physical Demands:a. Ability to stand, walk, and crouch throughout the dayb. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs
$38.30/hr - $45.96/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
